First is a requirement for the mountain training awards and schemes. dont All awards now require a current and relevant 16-hour first aid course at the time of assessment, with the exception of the climbing wall instructor & climbing wall development instructor, where an 8-hour course will meet requirements. The course should be at least 16 hours long, be face to face not online, include an element of assessment, and cover remote care. We are always looking for bright and enthusiastic people who enjoy team work and want to learn new skills. free St john ambulance is made up of volunteers from every walk in life, from those professionally involved with pre-hospital care to people who had no previous experience of first aid prior to joining the organisation.
